sorry it has been such a long time since i posted!!  it has been a crazy summer.

Things are gearing up for school, again, for both ian and myself.  But fun will soon begin as i start my search for the perfect gown!!!  Who knows how long it might take, but i have some ideas, so we will see.

Anyway, so far the wedding plans are going along well.  The DJ, the flowers, the pastry chef for the cake, the invitations have been chosen (not ordered as of yet though), and the fabric swatches of my colors have been chosen.  Pretty good work considering we still have a ways to go, but if time keeps moving as swiftly as it did this summer then i think the wedding will be here in no time.

There is so much still to do for school so i will leave off here for now, but never fear i will post again.

okay, sorry it has been so long since i posted.  School started and all that fun stuff, besides trying to get furniture painted and moved into the apartment.  I also broke, well fractured/ would have been better to have broken, my pinky toe on my right foot on sunday.

Anyhow, this weekend was fun.  Ian's parents came to visit in Austin for the bridal extravaganza, which was way fun.  They got to meet Beth our event coordinator.  She is really spectacular!

Anyway, not much going on now, i am kinda loopy from the pain medicine (hydrocodone) anyway.  I will try and write again when i am not so loopy!

Love, Carrie

So, this past week has been a busy one!  Ian helped my mom put in stairs into our attic, and i was finishing some furnirture for my apartment, which, incidentally, didnt get finished.  OH well!  We also went to a bridal show.  Oh boy was it ever over whelming, at least at first.  At the show, we met a woman named Beth Cornwell, who happens to be a wedding coordinator and who was also recommended to us by one of the ladies who owns/runs Keller Landing.  She is really great.  So Mom decided that for many reasons, one being that ian and i are here in Waco, and everyone else is pretty spread out as well that we would hire Beth as an "event coordinator."  For those who dont know, as we didnt, the difference between a wedding coordinator and an event planner is the types of services provided.  A wedding coordinator is someone who coordinates meetings and makes recommendations for vendors and the Bride (or whoever) is responsible for hiring the vendors.  An event planner is someone that you hire who makes the contracts with all of the vendors, etc.  Esentially, it is hiring one person instead of separate people to do the cake, flowers, food, etc.

After we met Beth at the show, Mom set up a meeting with her this last Saturday (that would make it yesterday) and i just love her.  We sat down with her and told her our (Ian and my vision) of our wedding.  This weekend when we go to the Bridal Extravaganza with Ian's parents and my mom and myself, we will stop by and introduce the Plowman's to Beth.

Well, besides that, there isnt much going on.  Ian and i are just getting ready to go back to school.  I start back Tuesday, and he starts back on Wednesday.  Also just two more days until my 21st birthday!  WOOHOO!  I will be in class!!!  Yippee!

Well, until next week and the next big event!

Love, Carrie

sorry it has been a while.  There isnt too much going on. . . just resting from break.  We are going to my mom's house this weekend to work on furniture for my apartment since my roommate is moving out.  We will also be going to a wedding show at the Hilton (i think).  Not too much planning on the wedding front at the moment, but that will change hopefully after the show this weekend and the big one on Sunday.  Oh yeah, hehe, only 10 days until my 21st birthday!!!!! hehehehehe

Okay, so there is not a whole lot more to say about the wedding planning except that i found another bridal show!  This one is pretty small and is on May 23, so it is a little ways off, but it will be really fun.  Ian is dreading going with me because i can get really excited (i mean really excited, to the point i want everything! but i know i cant have it, dont worry Mom! hehe) but i think he will enjoy it all the same.  The other bridal show that we will be going to is going to be huge!  it said that there were supposed to be something like 225 wedding professionals (WOW!) and it will be in the Palmer Events Center on June 5 & 6 from 12-5 (though we will only be going for one of the days i think, but who knows, we will see!).

There isnt much other news, so i will write again soon!  Ta-ta for now!

Carrie
